Verona, Italy, September 22, 2026: The Rajasthan Pavilion, established at Marmomac 2026 in Verona to strengthen the global identity of Rajasthan’s stone industry and promote India Stonemart 2028, Jaipur internationally, was formally inaugurated on Tuesday by Mr. Lavanya Kumar, Consul General of India in Milan.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent representatives of the Indian stone industry, including Mr. Naresh Pareek, National Joint General Secretary of Laghu Udyog Bharati; Mr. Natwarlal Ajmera, Vice President; Mr. Prakash Chand Choudhary; Mr. Manoj Singh, Secretary General of the Federation of Indian Granite and Stone Industry (FIGSI); Mr. Himanshu Sehgal, Chairman of STONA; and Mr. Sunil Bhandari, Co-Chairman of STONA, along with other industry representatives.
Through the Rajasthan Pavilion, the state’s world-renowned marble, granite, sandstone and other natural stones, along with their diversity, quality, processing capabilities and business opportunities available in the stone sector, are being showcased on an international platform. The pavilion will also serve as a key centre for the international promotion and networking of India Stonemart 2028.
During the exhibition, representatives will engage with stone associations, leading companies, importers, buyers, architects, machinery manufacturers and business delegations from various countries, inviting them to participate in India Stonemart 2028 in Jaipur. Rajasthan has previously used major international stone exhibitions, including Marmomac, to establish relationships with international associations and companies and to effectively promote India Stonemart globally.
On the occasion, the delegation briefed Consul General Mr. Lavanya Kumar about the vision behind India Stonemart 2028 and the distinctive strengths of Rajasthan’s stone sector. Mr. Kumar visited the Rajasthan Pavilion and was apprised of the efforts being made to strengthen the presence of the Indian natural stone industry on the international stage and expand global industry connections.
Rajasthan’s participation at Marmomac 2026 aims to connect Rajasthan’s stone industry with global markets and invite buyers, exhibitors and stone industry organisations from across the world to participate in India Stonemart 2028 in Jaipur.
