A significant step was taken today toward elevating Rajasthan's stone industry to new global heights. A historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Laghu Udyog Bharati, Centre for Development of Stones (CDOS), and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) for the successful organization of the 14th edition of India StoneMart 2028, India's most prestigious stone industry exhibition.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Constitution Club, Jaipur, in the presence of senior Rajasthan Government officials, representatives of industry organizations, and entrepreneurs associated with the stone sector. The agreement is expected to become a major milestone in the development of Rajasthan's stone, mining, processing, and export industries.
The program commenced at 11:30 AM with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and the singing of Vande Mataram. Thereafter, Mr. Natwarlal Ajmera, Convener of India StoneMart 2028, presented a brief overview of the achievements and successes of India StoneMart 2026 and outlined the roadmap for the upcoming edition.

Special Discussion on GSTF
Alongside the MoU signing ceremony, a special discussion was organized on the theme of GSTF (Global Stone Technology Forum). Officials from the District Industries Centre (DIC) presented detailed information regarding the following government schemes:
- REPC Scheme — Rajasthan Export Promotion Council
- EPM Scheme — Export Promotion and Marketing
- RIPS Scheme — Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on modern technologies, innovation in the stone sector, global market opportunities, export promotion, sustainable development, and current challenges and future opportunities for the stone industry.
The interaction among industry experts, policymakers, and entrepreneurs is expected to play an important role in enhancing the competitiveness of Rajasthan's stone sector and strengthening its position in the international marketplace.

1. Shri Prakash Chandra Ji
National Organization Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharati, stated that Rajasthan has been a rich repository of various natural stones for centuries and that the industry makes a significant contribution to both the state and national economy.
He emphasized the need to enhance the global reputation of Rajasthan's stones and called upon all stakeholders to begin preparations immediately to ensure the success of India StoneMart 2028.
2. Shri K.K. Vishnoi
Hon'ble Minister of State, Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Rajasthan, remarked that Laghu Udyog Bharati has consistently served as an effective bridge between the government and entrepreneurs while actively addressing industry concerns.
He highlighted that Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma is deeply committed to the state's development and noted the discovery of significant rare-earth mineral reserves in Rajasthan's Siwana region. He further stated that Rajasthan has the potential to emerge as a major hub for semiconductor manufacturing in the future.
3. Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore
Hon'ble Cabinet Minister, Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Rajasthan, praised the grand success of India StoneMart 2026 and stressed that India StoneMart 2028 should become even more influential for the stone industry, not only in Rajasthan but across the country.
He emphasized the importance of integrating modern technologies into the event and ensuring wider international participation. According to him, Rajasthan's stone products deserve stronger global recognition, and StoneMart 2028 should attract representatives from a larger number of countries.
