Government Policies & Support Schemes

Comprehensive guide to government initiatives supporting the stone and marble industry in Rajasthan, including financial assistance, marketing support, and investment incentives.

One District One Product ODOP Scheme

The ODOP (One District One Product) scheme is a Government of India initiative aimed at promoting, branding, and marketing at least one local product (such as handicrafts, agricultural products, or food items) from each district in the country. The goal is to achieve balanced regional development and provide artisans, entrepreneurs with financial assistance, skill development, and market access. The objective is to give district-specific products global recognition and strengthen the rural economy.

Key Aspects

  • Product Selection: Identifying a unique product that is the specialty of each district
  • Branding & Marketing: Promoting these products at national and international levels
  • Financial Aid: Providing loans and margin money to artisans and small businesses
  • Skill Development: Training artisans and providing modern toolkits
  • Common Facility Centers (CFCs): Providing infrastructure and shared facilities
  • E-commerce Platforms: Product sales on Amazon and other government platforms

Main Features

The scheme provides financial assistance to ODOP-registered MSMEs for participating in national and international fairs, exhibitions, and buyer-seller meets.

If an entity is from a district and displays ODOP products from that district, they can claim financial assistance after participating in the event.

  • For exhibitions in Rajasthan (such as India Stonemart 2026), eligible units will receive assistance of up to ₹50,000 or 75% of stall rent (whichever is lower)
  • Additionally, actual 3-AC train or AC bus fare for two persons is reimbursable
  • A unit can avail this benefit for a maximum of three events in one financial year, provided they have not received assistance in the same category in the previous two years

Eligibility Criteria

  • The enterprise must have a valid Udyam Registration Certificate
  • The displayed product must be in the ODOP listed products of the relevant district
  • ODOP registration by the entrepreneur at the District Industry Center
