The Jaipur Architecture Festival 2026, being held alongside India Stone Mart 2026 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), Sitapura, under the joint aegis of Laghu Udyog Bharati, CEDOS and RIICO, concluded successfully on Friday. The closing ceremony of the two-day national festival was held in the presence of Union Minister of Law and Justice (Independent Charge), Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, as the Chief Guest.
After the day-long architecture festival sessions, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal visited JECC in the evening, where he toured the India Stone Mart 2026 exhibition and participated in the closing session of the Jaipur Architecture Festival, formally concluding the festival.
Addressing the closing session, Union Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal said, “Stone, architecture and urban development are key pillars of India’s economic and cultural strength. Platforms like the Jaipur Architecture Festival strengthen dialogue between policy, design and industry.” Highlighting the national and international significance of Rajasthan’s stone industry, he emphasized the adoption of sustainable mining practices, value addition and modern technologies.
On the second and final day of the Jaipur Architecture Festival, master speaker sessions, panel discussions and student installations remained the major attractions. Renowned architect Jitendra Mehta, in a session based on the ‘Indore Development Model,’ explained how balanced urban planning, citizen participation and sustainable infrastructure have helped Indore emerge as a model city for the country.
Additionally, experts shared their views on topics such as ‘Reinventing Local Stone with Modern Construction Technologies’ and ‘Stone in the Age of Glass and Steel’, with special focus on the growing relevance of Rajasthan’s local stones in contemporary architecture.
On the concluding day of the Jaipur Architecture Festival, Hon’ble Andhra Pradesh Mining Minister Shri Kollu Ravindra Garu also visited India Stone Mart 2026. He expressed positive views on the possibilities of inter-state cooperation, investment and technological partnerships in the stone sector.

Guru, in his address from the stage, described India Stonemart 2026 as a visionary initiative
aligned with the needs of the present time. He stated that the exhibition is not merely a
platform for trade and business, but is also directly connected to sustainability and
environmental responsibility, which are of critical importance in today’s global scenario.
Emphasising the need to adopt technological innovation, efficient resource management and
eco-friendly practices in the stone and mining sector, Shri Guru said that such platforms
provide a new direction to the industry. He expressed confidence that future projects emerging
from platforms like India Stonemart will not only be economically strong, but will also give due
priority to environmental balance and sustainable development.
Design installations presented by architecture students at Jaipur Architecture
Festival 2026 were highly appreciated by experts and senior architects. Direct interaction and
mentorship with students emerged as one of the key highlights of the festival.
Organised alongside India Stone Mart 2026, the Jaipur Architecture Festival 2026 has established
itself as a strong bridge between the stone industry, architecture and urban development. Over
the two days, the festival witnessed in-depth discussions on future cities, sustainable
construction and the global role of Indian stone.
